Why a held reservation works for a Thailand application

Whether you enter Thailand on a tourist visa or under visa exemption, immigration officers may ask for evidence that you are leaving within your permitted period. Airlines ask the same question at check-in in India, because they bear the cost of carrying a passenger who is refused entry.

A held onward or return reservation with a date inside the permitted stay answers both. If you are continuing to another country rather than returning to India, show that leg — it is the one the officer cares about.

For the e-Visa itself, the portal takes document uploads including travel and accommodation evidence, so a clean PDF with matching dates keeps the application straightforward.
