Why a held reservation works for a Turkey application
Many Indian passport holders qualify for the Turkish e-Visa on the condition that they hold a valid visa or residence permit from a Schengen country, the UK, Ireland or the USA. Where that condition is not met, a sticker visa from a consulate is required, and that process asks for the fuller document set including travel arrangements.
Either way, immigration on arrival and your airline in India may ask for onward travel and accommodation. Turkey is also a very common transit point, so if your Turkish stay is a stopover, the onward leg is what matters.
